ABOUT ROTARACT

Rotaract was founded in 1968 by Rotary International, a worldwide association of service‐minded business and professional leaders. “Rotaract” stands for “Rotary in Action.” Most Rotaract activities take place at club level and the purpose is to provide an opportunity for young men and women to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service. Rotaract members are generally 18‐30 years of age and are also known as Rotaractors.

ABOUT THE CLUB

Rotaract Club of Mt. Kenya-Meru is located in Meru, Kenya. The club was first chartered and admitted into the Rotary Family on 1st November, 2014 but the ceremony of charter took place on 30th May, 2015. The sponsoring club is the Rotary Club of Meru. The club has a current membership of 20 members. The Rotaract Club of Mt. Kenya-Meru meets after two weeks on Sunday at the Meru SportsClub in Meru town from 4:30pm-5:30pm. Membership comprises of young and vibrant people who have a common interest in working together to make a difference in their lives, their families, their professions and the community at large.
